<p>Cleans and maintains assigned areas to maintain presentable, sanitary and clean City facilities.</p> <ul> <li>Sweeps/mops hallways, stairs, and bathroom floors daily;  </li><li>Vacuums carpeted areas daily;  </li><li>Cleans/sanitizes toilets, urinals, sinks, and water fountains daily;  </li><li>Dusts/polishes blinds, tables and chairs;  </li><li>Replaces light bulbs;  </li><li>Empty trash cans and recycle bins;  </li><li>Washes windows;  </li><li>Removes ice from entrance sidewalks (ice melt) and removes snow;   </li><li>Open/close building for weekend events. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li><li>Knowledge of cleaning materials, methods, equipment, procedures, and minor maintenance work;  </li><li>Knowledge of the proper and safe use of a variety of custodial supplies, equipment, and machines;  </li><li>Skill in operating wax stripper and high speed buffer. </li><li>Skill in to working with strong cleaning solvents;  </li><li>Skill in following established safety standards and procedures;  </li><li>Skill in following basic custodial procedures;  </li><li>Skill in performing minor repairs and adjustment to building fixtures and equipment;  </li><li>Skill in following oral and written instructions;  </li><li>Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others. </li></ul> <p>High school graduate or equivalent preferred, and six months custodial experience. Current and valid TN/VA Driver's License preferred or must be able to obtain within 90 days of employment. </p>
