<p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>The Opportunity</p> <p>The Certified Caregiver - CNA position is part of the Health & Wellness Team responsible for providing care to the residents. This position requires a combination of stamina, empathy, and compassion to effectively support the needs of residents.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Accurately perform and record vital signs, height and weight. </li><li>Accurately calculate and record weight gain/loss and fluid intake/output. </li><li>Maintain a clean and safe resident environment. </li><li>Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and the importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor. </li><li>Perform palliative and post-mortem care. </li><li>Perform routine care rounds on each assigned resident, at minimum, every two hours (or more frequently as indicated). </li><li>Assist residents with mobility. </li><li>Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. </li><li>Help residents maintain comfortable positions in bed or in chairs to promote comfort. </li><li>Assist with light housekeeping tasks. </li><li>Ability to respond quickly to medical emergencies and remain calm under pressure. </li><li>Responsibilities include customer service, administering medication, caregiving, resident safety and communication. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <p>POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old, or the age required by state regulations, whichever is higher. </li><li>Must pass State and Company criminal background/drug screens. </li><li>A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred and may be mandatory in certain states. </li><li>Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program and successful passing of a state-approved competency examination, where required. </li><li>Demonstrates effective time management skills. </li><li>Take Vital signs. </li><li>Medication supervision (within the scope of the state regulations). </li><li>Read, write, speak and understand the English language. </li></ul> <p>Location Information</p> <p>NorthWoods Commons is a beautiful community in Kokomo, IN, with more than 110 units offering independent living and assisted living.</p>
