<p>Property</p> <p>We're looking for a capable, courteous Reservations Agent. You will be required toanswer telephone inquires in a friendly and courteous manner, employ sales techniques in order to secure and process reservations for guest accommodations in a timely manner consistent with Pyramid Hotel Group's high standards of quality. Hours varies.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Process all incoming reservations received via rooming lists, mailed or in-house correspondence, housing bureau forms, or facsimiles. Mail confirmation and literature requests or reply via facsimile and administrative message when requested. </li><li>Monitor accuracy of group blocks including cut off date, pick up, suite blocks, rates, etc. Set up a file trace system for each group with regular documented conversations with clients, convention service managers and Reservation Manager. Review rooming lists for accuracy in format and ensure prompt processing. Identify, block and process staff and VIP lists with each group. Ensure appropriate information is available for individual call-in groups. Monitor Housing Bureau pick up and communicate with management. </li><li>Processing of all Online Travel Partner reservations and billing. Processing of Travel Agent commissions, reservation penalty charges. </li><li>Answer all incoming calls in a friendly and efficient manner. Provide guests with the requested information concerning the city and its services. Obtain the necessary information from the guests and enter it into the PMS computer system. Must be effective in sales and up-selling. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS</p> <p>In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:</p> <ul> <li>Block special request reservations and suites. </li><li>Maintain a clean and well-organized workstation. </li><li>File daily reservations and other correspondence. </li><li>Answer questions concerning reservations for employees of other departments including but not limited to Sales, Convention Services, and Executive Office. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>High School diploma or equivalent, previous hospitality experience. Some college preferred. Must speak and write fluently in English. Other languages preferred.</p> <p>This job requires ability to perform the following:</p> <p>Essential:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process. </li><li>Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. </li><li>Must possess computational ability. </li><li>Must possess computer skills. </li><li>Ability to be persuasive with telephone sales skills. </li><li>General knowledge of city and its attractions. </li><li>Follow the principles of CARE and the Four Disciplines of Associate Success. </li></ul> <p>Compensation Range</p> <p>The compensation for this position is $22.58/Hr. - $26.10/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.</p>
