<p>Senior Buyer- Construction</p> <p>LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Buyer with at least 3 years of experience working in a similar role. This is a Temp to Perm opportunity within the Commercial Construction industry, located in Baltic, CT.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Identify, source, and secure construction materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements and cost targets </li><li>Prepare, issue, and oversee purchase orders, subcontracts, and vendor agreements throughout the procurement process </li><li>Request and review bids and pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive selection </li><li>Coordinate delivery timelines to make sure materials arrive on schedule and support project timelines </li><li>Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and partners </li><li>Evaluate and prequalify vendors based on financial health, safety standards, and past performance </li><li>Lead negotiations around pricing, contract terms, and scope to drive cost efficiency and value engineering opportunities </li><li>Monitor market conditions and pricing trends to support strategic purchasing decisions </li><li>Partner with estimating and project teams to ensure procurement aligns with overall budget goals </li><li>Track committed spending against project budgets and highlight potential overages, risks, or savings opportunities </li><li>Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Estimators to fully understand project needs </li><li>Align purchasing timelines with construction schedules to avoid delays </li><li>Address and resolve material shortages or supply chain challenges in a timely, proactive manner </li><li>Ensure all purchasing activities follow internal policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations </li><li>Maintain organized and accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and vendor files </li><li>Assist with reporting requirements and provide documentation support during audits </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 3-5 years of Buying experience, preferably within Construction industry </li></ul> <p>Work Site: Onsite</p> <p>Employment Type: Temp to Perm</p> <p>Salary: $35-44/hr</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled</p> <p>To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.lhh.com/us/en/candidate-privacy</p> <p>Pay Details: $35.00 to $44.00 per hour</p> <p>Search managed by: Patrick Garron</p> <p>Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
