<p>Job Title: Production Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>This position is for a First Line Support Production Engineer with an innovative attitude to work in the Production Engineering department in Wilton. The candidate will work with cross-sector employees to provide rapid response to resolve disturbance notices related to engineering issues and perform the engineering steps listed in the production operator dashboard (POD) to support output.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Spend about 75% of time in the cleanroom providing direct support to production processes and troubleshooting. </li><li>Provide efficient response to troubleshoot mechanical assembly issues. </li><li>Provide efficient response to troubleshoot flow and thermal issues. </li><li>Provide efficient response to troubleshoot module test and final qualification issues. </li><li>Provide efficient response to troubleshoot tooling and test stand issues. </li><li>Develop OCAPs, Fishbones, and troubleshooting guidelines. </li><li>Support diagnostics qualification and implementation for production staff. </li><li>Evaluate and disposition failed parts with proposed solutions. </li><li>Support development of manufacturing procedures and technical work instructions. </li><li>Support design and document reviews for diagnostics. </li><li>Support root cause analysis. </li><li>Support cycle time and labor hours roadmaps implementation. </li><li>Support PFMEA. </li><li>Able to read optical, mechanical, and electrical drawings. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Lean manufacturing. </li><li>Mechanical engineering. </li><li>Production engineering. </li><li>Tooling. </li><li>Six sigma. </li><li>Mechanical assembly. </li><li>Engineering. </li><li>Troubleshooting. </li><li>Assembly. </li><li>Mechanical. </li><li>Work instruction. </li><li>Manufacturing engineering. </li><li>Production. </li><li>Process improvement. </li><li>Process engineering. </li><li>Manufacturing process. </li><li>Continuous improvement. </li><li>Project management. </li><li>Machining. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. </li><li>Experience as Optical Engineers with Mechanics. </li><li>1 to 2 years' experience in an engineering environment. </li><li>Working knowledge with mechanical assembly and alignment. </li><li>Working knowledge with mechanical tooling and test equipment. </li><li>Working knowledge in detectors, electro-optical devices, and opto-mechanical constructions. </li><li>Experience in a production environment with high-tech products and complex production processes. </li><li>Experience in Lean Manufacturing. </li><li>Knowledge of MATLAB, LabVIEW, and Python. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The role is based in a cleanroom and manufacturing setting with two open positions, one per shift. The shifts are CWW D1 from 6 am to 6 pm on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday, and CWW D2 from 6 am to 6 pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday. The work schedule alternates between 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week, with daily overtime after 8 hours. The position offers an opportunity to work in the semiconductor industry, with benefits including vacation time and holidays, and the potential for conversion into a permanent engineering role after 18 months.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract position based out of Wilton, Connecticut.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
