If you are interested in joining our team, apply today!</p> <p>About this Role:</p> <p>This position requires the incumbent, perform accounting work in the processing and analysis of receipts and the development of interpersonal skills by contact with Program personnel and the public. This includes gathering data and making studies on various problems and integrating generally accepted accounting principles with automated accounting systems as they relate to the accomplishment of the accounting objectives. Under general direction from an Accounting Administrator I, Supervisor, the incumbent will identify issues as they relate to a variety of program needs; establish and maintain cooperative relations with those contacted in the work; interpret and apply laws, rules, standards and procedures; and communicate effectively. The incumbent will process Short Doyle Medi-Cal void and disallowed claims and the posting of County cash receipts in USL Financials and Financial Information Systme for California (Fl$Cal). The incumbent will create and process manual accounts receivable invoices to various vendors and post the corresponding cash receipts to clear the outstanding accounts receivables. The incumbent will learn the established policies and procedures to ensure that the unit is in compliance with the State Administrative Manual (SAM) and the Departmental policies. The incumbent will gain experience in identifying abnormal balances on the document files, researching the problems, and posting the solutions to FI$Cal and USL Financial. Additionally, the incumbent will assist in the verification and analysis of reimbursement contracts and receivable reports. This is accomplished by overseeing the financial operations of DHCS, including financial reporting, resource management, and budget development and oversight.
