The ideal candidate will have a passion for exercise science and a commitment to fostering the athletic and personal development of student-athletes. The coach will be responsible for planning and executing practices, organizing competitions, and promoting sportsmanship and teamwork.</p> <p>TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Program Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for student-athletes, including daily workouts, conditioning, nutrition, and skill development. </li><li>Team Development: Coach and mentor student-athletes, focusing on individual skills. Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive attitude. </li><li>Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with athletes, parents, and school administration. Provide regular updates on progress, schedule changes, and other relevant information. </li><li>Compliance: Ensure compliance with school policies, league regulations, and safety protocols. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Certification: Must hold a valid State of Connecticut Coaching Certification. First Aid, CPR, and Concussion Certification are required. </li><li>Experience: Previous coaching experience in baseball, preferably at the high school or collegiate level, is highly desirable. </li><li>Skills: Strong knowledge of techniques, strategies, and rules. Demonstrated ability to effectively teach and develop players. </li><li>Personal Attributes: Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for performing the responsibilities of the position.
