The duties of an IT technician include being a reference point for all IT related queries at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability. </li><li>Troubleshooting system infrastructure including but not limited to laptops, printers, workstations, network switches, cabling, desk and cell phones, handheld scanners, Wi-Fi. </li><li>Repairing or replacing damaged hardware. </li><li>Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers. </li><li>Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level. </li><li>Able to understand working capabilities of ERP and MES and supporting users when needed. </li><li>Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware. </li><li>Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting. </li><li>Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues. </li><li>Use ticketing system for recording and reporting KPIs </li><li>Managing technical documentation. </li><li>Act as a backup to Systems administrator. </li><li>Additional duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Experience in Microsoft products </li><li>Managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPS and Group policies </li><li>Support ERP Administration </li><li>Excellent communication skills </li><li>Experience in Manufacturing Industry </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. </li><li>2+ years of experience in systems maintenance in leu of degree. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Good interpersonal skills. </li><li>Attention to detail. </li><li>Good problem-solving skills. </li></ul> <p>Willing to work on additional assigned tasks and or off hours if need arises.</p> <p>An essential element of Bonide culture is our commitment to diversity.
