The ideal candidate is a recognized professional with hands-on expertise and an excellent understanding of engineering processes supporting large, National Defense, Agile software development programs. With a team of system and software engineers in a fast-paced environment you will be an integral part of Space System Command's recently awarded Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution (FORGE) Enterprise OPIR Solution (EOS) program. The EOS program will enhance the government-owned FORGE framework, delivering a scalable, cyber-secure ground processing capability to strengthen the Space Force's missile warning and tracking mission and accelerate threat-responsive solutions for warfighters.</p> <p>Position location is on-site in Boulder, CO 5 days per week.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <p>Provide Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) products, views, reports, and documents supporting the SOW and software development activities.</p> <p>Including:</p> <ul> <li>System / Subsystem requirements </li><li>Use cases </li><li>Derived software requirements with traceability to System / Subsystem requirements </li><li>Architecture and design structure and behavior </li><li>Internal and External interfaces </li><li>Test cases with traceability to requirements for verification Conduct or support technical reviews with prime integrator and customer such as </li><li>Technical Interchange Meetings </li><li>Critical Design Reviews </li><li>Test Readiness Reviews Backlog identification and grooming. </li><li>Ensure work products meet program requirements. </li><li>Ensure development work products are aligned with the engineering baseline. </li><li>Coordinate with engineering leadership, software engineers, test engineers and other members of the systems engineering team. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills & Experience</p> <ul> <li>This position will require the ability to obtain a U.S. government DoD Secret Security clearance. Interim or Active DoD Secret clearance or higher is preferred. Due to the clearance requirement, U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidate must also agree to participate in a background screen. </li><li>On-site support in Boulder, CO 5 days per week. </li><li>BS or advanced degree in Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or another relevant field. </li><li>8+ years of professional experience in a systems or software engineer position. </li><li>Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Cameo. </li><li>Excellent organization skills with exceptional attention to detail. </li><li>Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Experience working on "badge-less" engineering teams on a large National security contracts. </li><li>Domain experience with remote sensing systems or ground architectures, especially experience with OPIR sensor processing. </li><li>Experience with Agile software development methodology. • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence. </li><li>Experience with general tools such as Excel, MS Project, and Powerpoint. </li></ul> <p>Application Deadline: June 30, 2025</p> <p>#CJPost</p> <p>#LI-onsite</p> <p>The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
