The year will count as one year toward non-probationary status if the teacher receives a rating of "Effective" or higher on the end of year LEAP evaluation. The teacher will be placed on the appropriate step and lane on the salary scale if able to secure a lead teaching position upon completion of the Associate Teacher role.</p> <p>This vacancy is at a school designated as an "Innovation School." For more information, please contact the school and/or DCTA.</p> <p>About this job:</p> <p>An associate teacher assists the lead teacher in the classroom by supporting lesson delivery, managing student activities, and helping with grading and assessments. Please see the Employee Associations Page for the current master agreement and important documents associated with your bargaining unit.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <p>One (1) year position only.</p> <p>Operates as a lead teacher for up to 51% of the day, teaching appropriate grade level standards to diverse students, following school-based curriculum expectations.</p> <p>Establishes and communicates clear objectives to students for lessons, units, and projects; presents subject matter to students, individually and in groups, using various teaching methods and technology and adjusting teaching style and method to meet student learning style.</p> <p>Spends additional time operating as a teacher resident, participating in learning experiences to help growth and development.</p> <p>Operates as a learner committed to increasing effectiveness as an instructional leader in the classroom.</p> <p>What You'll Need:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Education or related field is required.</p> <p>Have a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license.
