<p>Tesla has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Supervisor, Production Engineering to join the Production Engineering team at the Gigafactory in Sparks, Nevada. We are seeking an energetic, skilled, cost-conscious, team-oriented individual to be responsible for the performance of equipment and maintenance technicians on shift. The incumbent will manage a team of technicians to ensure that perform at a high level while meeting the needs of the production floor. The individual will be responsible for all production engineering-related metrics for their shift. They will performance manage their team to generate the highest value from every employee while maintaining a high level of technical ability.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Maintenance Technicians at Gigafactory Nevada, specifically within the Battery Module team, promoting safe equipment operations and high performance</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure team compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols, including training, incident documentation, hazard correction, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement</p> </li><li> <p>Coach technicians on equipment servicing and communication to enhance reliability and reduce downtime</p> </li><li> <p>Drive technician development through KPIs such as MTTR, utilization, offline projects, and UPDT/PT execution</p> </li><li> <p>Support technicians during unplanned down events, leading effective recovery efforts with a focus on reliability</p> </li><li> <p>Plan and schedule maintenance activities, make daily resource allocation decisions, and manage critical spare parts inventory</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze maintenance data for trend identification and support maintenance structure setup for new remanufacturing lines</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of experience managing teams of people in a high-volume manufacturing setting preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Manufacturing Knowledge: Proficient understanding of general manufacturing processes, automation, and controls. Specific experience with Fanuc robots, PLC programming, and a track record in maintaining/troubleshooting industrial electrical panels/systems</p> </li><li> <p>Personal Attributes: Demonstrates reliability, initiative, and a proactive learning attitude. Adaptable in both work schedule (including compressed work weeks and night shifts) and various working environments</p> </li><li> <p>Communication and Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, keen attention to detail, flexibility, and exceptional prioritization abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and the capability to provide constructive feedback to team members</p> </li><li> <p>Safety and Physical Requirements: Adheres strictly to safety protocols, uses all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and can meet physical demands like standing, walking for extended periods, lifting weights, and handling repetitive motions in a potentially loud environment</p> </li><li> <p>Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Focus: Responsibilities include ensuring team safety training, documenting EHS incidents, proactively identifying workplace hazards, and empowering teams towards continuous operational improvements</p> </li><li> <p>Leadership Traits: Maintains confidentiality, adept at multitasking and adapting to constant changes, while also demonstrating the ability to discern audible alarms, distinguish colors, and possess accurate depth perception in the work environment</p> </li></ul>
