<p>CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client is seeking a senior-level Equipment Installation Mechanical Technician IV to lead and execute complex mechanical equipment installations for manufacturing capacity expansions. This is a hands-on, leadership role with on-site responsibility for installation, troubleshooting, and mentoring junior technicians. Type: Contract Job Title: Equipment Installation Mechanical Technician IV Location: Newton, NC Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Newton, NC Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Education: Associates degree required; High School diploma considered with significant hands-on experience What You'll Do: Lead installation crews and subcontractors on multi-line manufacturing projects Perform advanced mechanical tasks: rigging, leveling, alignment, torqueing, piping, and integration Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions and mechanical issues Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Collaborate with vendors, engineers, and project managers to meet schedule, scope, and quality requirements Mentor junior technicians and enforce safe work practices Support documentation, inspections, and customer acceptance testing Must-Have Skills & Experience: 3+ years installing manufacturing equipment; start-up experience a plus Strong mechanical systems knowledge: hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, bearings, gear systems Ability to read/interpret technical drawings and schematics Hands-on leadership experience with installation crews Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with CMMS, SAP, Maximo a plus Mechanical certifications (Millwright, HVAC, Welding) or Mechatronics background desired Why Join: Lead high-impact projects and solve complex mechanical challenges Work on-site in Newton, NC with a stable Fortune 500 client Opportunity to mentor, lead, and grow in a senior technical role Additional Information: No third-party resumes will be accepted Drug testing and/or other employment-related inquiries may be conducted CTG will consider applicants with criminal histories consistent with all applicable laws All interested individuals MUST be able to work on a W2 Tax basis (no C2C or third-party vendors) CTG is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer CTG is an E-Verify Company To be considered for this opportunity, please apply directly through our website by clicking the link below or email your Word version resume and salary expectations to Jamie.Robinson@ctg.com.
