<p>Inventory Clerk</p> <p>Department: Manufacturing / Operations / Quality</p> <p>Employment Type: Full Time</p> <p>Location: US - Wisconsin - Madison</p> <p>Reporting To: Matt Briggs</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Works closely with the inventory control and materials team to ensure inventory accuracy. Monitors discrepancies or problems with deliveries, the balance on hand, and other inventory-tracking mechanisms. This position requires full-time clerical work and daily warehouse duties as required.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ensures inventory accuracy and inventory control. </li><li>Assists the department in tracking inventory errors and makes appropriate corrections. </li><li>Assists in researching and resolving inventory discrepancies. Tracks scrap product. </li><li>Records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produced. </li><li>Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures. </li><li>Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts the totals to inventory records, either manually or using a computer. </li><li>Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked. </li><li>Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory. </li><li>Performs other related duties as required or assigned. </li></ul> <p>Skills Knowledge and Expertise</p> <p>Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information. </li><li>Utilizes common-sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions. </li><li>Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work. </li><li>Completes some moderately repetitive tasks. </li><li>Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats. </li><li>Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or Equivalent (required.) </li><li>Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred. </li><li>Prior forklift experience preferred </li><li>Computer experience required. </li><li>Experience with JDE/E1 preferred. </li><li>Previous experience of a scan gun barcode reader is a plus. </li><li>Knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word strongly recommended. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES</p> <ul> <li>While performing the functions of this job, the employee is: </li></ul> <p>o Continually required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.</p> <p>o Regularly required to sit or stand and to walk.</p> <p>o Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.</p> <ul> <li>The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. </li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. </li></ul> <p>The company will make reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions and expectations.</p> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <ul> <li>While performing the functions of this job, the employee is: </li></ul> <p>o Regularly subjected to work near moving mechanical parts and to indoor temperature variations in a warehouse environment.</p> <p>o Occasionally subjected to fumes or airborne particles, as well as toxic or caustic chemicals.</p> <ul> <li>The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. </li><li>This position is Frequently exposed to extreme heat, vibration, and moving mechanical hazard; and Infrequently exposed to wet/humid conditions. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Franklin Fueling Systems is the premier designer and manufacturer of the world's most complete line of petroleum equipment including Submersible Pumping Systems, Piping and Containment Systems, Service Station Hardware, Dispensing Systems, Fuel Management Systems, and Transport Systems.
