This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that's constantly evolving.</p> <p>As an Assistant Meat Manager, you'll support daily operations within the Meat Department, help lead a skilled team, and ensure customers receive high-quality products and exceptional service. This role is ideal for someone with experience in meat cutting, meat department operations, retail grocery, or supervisory roles looking to grow into leadership.</p> <p>Main responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Support daily Meat Department operations, ensuring product quality, rotation, and food safety. </li><li>Assist in supervising Meat Cutters, Clerks, and department staff. </li><li>Help achieve department goals including sales, labor, shrink, and merchandising standards. </li><li>Perform meat cutting, wrapping, stocking, and product presentation as needed. </li><li>Lead the department in the Meat Manager's absence. </li><li>Assist with scheduling, training, task assignments, and maintaining a safe work environment. </li><li>Deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service. </li></ul> <p>We are looking for candidates who possess the following:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in meat cutting, meat preparation, or grocery retail required. </li><li>Leadership or supervisory experience preferred. </li><li>Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills. </li><li>Ability to work in cold environments (cooler/freezer) and perform physical tasks. </li><li>Basic computer and scheduling familiarity. </li><li>Must be at least 18 years old and able to work full-time, including peak business times. </li></ul> <p>We also provide a variety of benefits including:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive wages paid weekly </li><li>Associate discounts </li><li>Health and financial well-being benefits for eligible associates (Medical, Dental, 401k and more!) </li><li>Time off (vacation, holidays, sick pay).
