Our continuing success creates attractive opportunities for purpose-driven professionals to develop new skills, support vital industries, and grow their careers.</p> <p>Summary: Entry-Level Project Engineers undertake a comprehensive range of assignments within the engineering team, actively supporting in the preparation of engineering deliverables in accordance with project-specific requirements. As integral members of the engineering team, they provide support in the development of engineering designs, analyses, and applications, all while honing their time-management and communication skills.</p> <p>This role does not require a licensed Professional Engineer (PE); however, the pursuit of the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is mandatory.</p> <p>Some of the work you will do:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, documents, and reports in accordance with established templates, standards, and specifications. Collaborate with assigned mentors and managers to enhance core engineering skills. </li><li>Interprets basic calculations and designs: Hydraulic analysis for piping systems, Design Basis and Criteria, Tank and Vessel Sizing Calculations (vendor verification), Tank and Vessel Datasheets, Mechanical Equipment Sizing and Selection (vendor verification), Mechanical Equipment Datasheets, Piping Specifications and Details, </li></ul> <p>Mechanical Specifications.</p> <ul> <li>Develop understanding and support with the preparation of piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). </li></ul> <p>Assist in the 3D modeling of pump skids and/or equipment assemblies.</p> <ul> <li>May not have experience but developing in civil designs: Site development plan sets, environmental compliance deliverables, and storm water pollution prevention plan packages, existing and finish grading plans with cut/fill volumes, stormwater collection and conveyance systems, buried piping and utility plans and profiles, and simple road layouts. </li><li>May not have experience, but developing in structural designs: Concrete Footings, Foundations, Retaining Walls, PEMB/Building Plans, Anchor Bolt Plans, Bills of Material, Steel-framed structures/trusses: including utility racks, personnel platforms, walkways, pipe supports, etc. </li><li>May not have experience but gaining experience with basic calculations: Wind/Seismic, Anchor Bolts, Steel and reinforced concrete structures, bolted and welded connections. </li><li>Growing experience with structural design applications: Steel (STAAD), Civil 3D, Advanced Steel. </li><li>Perform basic calculations and document preparation under supervision, progressively taking on more complex tasks with guidance. </li><li>Participate in engineering reviews and meetings, contributing to the drafting of design reports and associated deliverables. </li><li>Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and internal engineering protocols, including templates, standards, and specifications, while working toward proficiency in these areas. </li><li>Develop organizational and time-management skills through active shadowing of project leads, mentors, and managers. </li><li>Observe customer-facing interactions and support discipline leads in delivering high-quality work that contributes to a positive client experience. </li><li>Gain familiarity with industry-standard engineering software, tools, and applicable codes and standards. </li><li>Develop effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams as well as external vendors, clients, and sub-consultants. </li><li>Travel Requirements: Minimal travel (1-2 times per year) may be required for training or to support project start-up activities. </li></ul> <p>Here are the skills that you need:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education: Bachelor's Degree in the following disciplines:</p> </li><li> <p>Civil/Structural Engineering</p> </li><li> <p>Mechanical Engineering</p> </li><li> <p>Experience: Generally, 0-3 years of experience in related field.</p> </li><li> <p>License: The Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is not mandatory for this position; however, candidates must</p> </li></ul> <p>be committed to obtaining the EIT certification within 6 months of hire.</p> <ul> <li>Strong math skills, specifically trigonometry and geometry, understanding of chemistry and physics. </li><li>Excellent computer skills: MS Word, Excel, and other Windows applications. </li><li>Self-motivated with detailed and complete follow-through. </li><li>Valid Driver's license and clean driving record to drive on any company related business or travel. </li><li>Able to maintain a flexible schedule and change on short notice, including limited infrequent overtime. </li><li>Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD (2D & 3D). </li></ul> <p>Here are the skills and qualifications that will set you apart:</p> <ul> <li>Limited experience working with Inventor, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Advanced Steel, STAAD. </li><li>Previous experience or internships related to water/wastewater treatment or similar industry. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be able to work at desk using a computer and phone system.</p> </li><li> <p>Regularly required to move around the facility.</p> </li><li> <p>Some lifting may be involved, up to 40 lbs, specifically when in the warehouse area(s).</p> </li><li> <p>May be required to inspect equipment when at job and construction sites.
