As a part of the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus team, you will have numerous opportunities to explore educational development courses, advance the Professional Ladder and utilize comprehensive benefits that invest in your health and overall well-being.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works full-time| nights + on-call| 11:00pm-7:30am.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Receive and accession specimens into the LIS (Lab Information System).</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare specimens for analysis.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform manual processing (centrifuge, aliquoting, and routine maintenance), problem-solving functions, and issue resolution.</p> </li><li> <p>Assume compliance with basic regulations (temperature monitoring).</p> </li><li> <p>Perform QA activities (pending log audit).</p> </li><li> <p>Retrieve, sort, track and deliver specimens and verify receipts in the lab.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform basic clerical functions (i.e., answering phones).</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED and one year of lab experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Associate's degree, preferably in a science related field (this may substitute the one year of experience needed above)</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational and time management skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Manual dexterity to perform specimen handling techniques and to take measurements </li><li>May require extended periods of standing, walking and/or sitting. </li><li>Handles and transports bio hazardous materials. </li><li>Visual acuity, including the ability to distinguish colors. </li><li>Must have normal or corrected vision. </li><li>Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds. </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as defined in the exposure control plan. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $19.25</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $29.30</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).</p>
