<p>Description</p> <p>Medical Practice Patient Representative: Region D, Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (variable)</p> <p>Summary: Provides clinical and clerical support to assure smooth daily department operations in assigned medical practice or practices. Assures that the patient and examination area is properly prepared.</p> <p>Region D: This position covers medical offices in Poughkeepsie, Highland, Hyde Park, Rhinebeck, Kingston, Woodstock, Modena</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs reception of customers and communicates pleasantly and effectively.</p> </li><li> <p>Answers phones, routes calls, take messages, conveys information, and assures accurate communication.</p> </li><li> <p>Registers, verifies and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.</p> </li><li> <p>Reschedules cancelled, no show, tickler appointments.</p> </li><li> <p>Processes record requests, including the copying, billing, charging and recording.</p> </li><li> <p>Collects co-pays and reconciles moneys for deposit.</p> </li><li> <p>Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes audits as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation and correspondence via eFax.</p> </li><li> <p>Presents a professional appearance and image.</p> </li><li> <p>Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains and Model Nuvance Health Values.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as required.</p> </li></ol> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Required: MS Outlook, Data Entry, Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal). HS Graduate or Equivalent.</p> <p>Minimum Experience: six months</p> <p>Desired: Practice Management System experience, Medical office experience, MS Excel.</p> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>Manual: Some manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity</p> <p>Occupational: Some occupational risk</p> <p>Physical Effort: Medium to Heavy effort.
