<p>Responsibilities for this Position</p> <p>Position Title: Cabinet Maker II</p> <p>Date: Feb 26, 2025</p> <p>Location: Savannah, GA, US</p> <p>Company: Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation</p> <p>Cabinet Maker II in GAC Savannah</p> <p>Unique Skills:</p> <p>Must be safety oriented and comply with safety and 6S audits</p> <p>Must have a bility to cut, saw and mill lumber to specified dimensions</p> <p>Fixing existing furniture or cabinetry, or adding details to enhance its look</p> <p>Choosing the right type of wood, such as hardwood, softwood, veneer, particleboard, or synthetic wood</p> <p>Outlining or marking dimensions on wood and Using glue, clamps, nails, screws, and other fasteners to join parts together</p> <p>Maintain all equipment in working order and meet project deadlines and budgets</p> <p>Cut, shape, and assemble wooden articles or set up and operate a variety of woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, and mortisers to surface, cut, or shape lumber or to fabricate parts for wood products</p> <p>Education and Experience Requirements</p> <p>High School Diploma or GED required. Basic knowledge of cabinetmaking processes, products and tools. Two (2) years experience in cabinetmaking. Experience in aerospace industry preferred.. Possess a working knowledge of Gulfstream inspection and process specifications preferred.</p> <p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>Under general supervision, fabricates aircraft furniture and other wood-surfaced subassemblies using aircraft specifications, design and engineering drawings with a high level of safety, quality, detail and productivity. Assists team members with greater experience to enhance techniques supportive of quality workmanship.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Principle Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Works under general supervision to fabricate furniture and other wood-surfaced subassemblies using blueprints, aircraft specifications and design/engineering drawings. </li><li>Assembles, pins and glues cabinet shells. Installs drawer-slides, hinges, latches and other hardware in subassemblies. Applies exterior surface materials such as laminates, veneers, and cap strips. </li><li>Uses various types of stationary and hand-held power tools to fabricate or disassemble furniture. </li><li>Complies with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies.
