<p>Shipping Coordinator - 2nd Shift</p> <p>Department: Packaging Operations</p> <p>Employment Type: Full Time</p> <p>Location: La Vergne, TN</p> <p>Description</p> <p>The Shipping Clerk is responsible for handling all aspects of the shipping department, emphasizing the accurate transfer of finished products to customers in a timely and consistent manner while meeting food safety and customer specifications.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.</p> <ul> <li>Ensures the preparation of picked orders for shipment by assembling orders, checking against shipping or customer orders, and reporting shortages and incomplete orders. </li><li>Selects appropriate shipping containers and packing material. </li><li>Checks receipts against purchase orders for proper shipment, shortages, damages, or defects. </li><li>Prints and checks system "outbound" page daily to stay current on shipments. </li><li>Prints pick lists for order pickers daily. </li><li>Assigns order pickers and loaders to loads and other assignments as necessary. </li><li>Get orders ready for loaders to grave them </li><li>Processes RMA's, including inventory counts and inventory adjustments. </li><li>Checks in drivers and verify order and identification. </li><li>Assist in verifying scheduled pick-up appointments or outbound shipments by phone or e-mail. </li><li>Signs drivers in/out and checks identification; assign to pick-up locations. </li><li>Prints orders for staging and distributes appropriate paperwork to warehouse staff. </li><li>Prints bill of ladings for outbound shipping orders. </li><li>Tracks order changes and cancellations. </li><li>Scans and files orders. </li><li>Prepares UPS shipments. </li><li>Performs load checks as necessary. </li><li>Enters orders for shipments </li><li>Sets uploads for outbound shipments. </li><li>During downtime, ensures the cleanliness of the work area and/or assist other stackers. </li><li>Communicates with management or maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate any maintenance and repairs. </li><li>Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures, including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms and safety policies. </li><li>Maintains regular attendance and punctuality. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by management. </li></ul> <p>Skills, Knowledge and Expertise</p> <p>EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required </li><li>Minimum one (1) year shipping or receiving experience preferred </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:</p> <ul> <li>Microsoft Office preferred (Outlook, Excel, Outlook) </li><li>Ability to use a ten-key calculator, office copier, and scanner </li><li>Basic math skills </li><li>Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed </li><li>Self-motivated and responsible </li><li>Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Employee-owned </li><li>Advancement Opportunities </li><li>Weekly pay </li><li>Insurance coverage that includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance and flexible spending accounts </li><li>401(k) with employer match </li><li>Paid holidays and competitive vacation/sick pay plans </li><li>Tuition assistance program </li><li>Employee stock ownership program (ESOP) </li></ul> <p>#ZR</p>
