Here, you can build a rewarding, lifelong career while receiving endless support and encouragement.</p> <p>Medina Hospital's 2 South is a Complex Medicine Unit features 25 beds and provides pre-surgical support for populations receiving antibiotic treatment and wound care, advanced dressing changes and assistance with bedside thoracentesis/paracentesis. As a PCNA on this team, you will coordinate with fellow caregivers to create a healing and comfortable environment for patients throughout their stay. Here, you will have a flexible schedule and the ability to pursue educational advancement, higher positions and skills development courses offered by Cleveland Clinic.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00PM - 7:30AM</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li>Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, such as taking vital signs and weight, assisting patients with personal care, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices and removing urinary Foley Catheters. </li><li>Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN. </li><li>Assist with keeping patients' rooms clean and orderly. </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon or within new hire period </li><li>Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) considered </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
