<p>About Us</p> <p>Page Field (FMY), an FAA-designated reliever airport, provides services to general and business aviation and accommodated more than 203,000 aircraft operations in 2023, a new record. Base Operations at Page Field is an award-winning, fixed-based operator and has been recognized for its customer service and facilities.</p> <p>Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) is an award-winning, medium-hub commercial service airport that served more than a record-breaking 11 million passengers in 2024 and is one of the top 50 airports in the United States for passenger traffic. Fifteen airlines serve RSW with nonstop service to 70 markets, including Canada and Germany. The economic impact of the airport is $8.3 billion annually to the Southwest Florida region and more than 60,000 jobs.</p> <p>The Position </p> <p>A part-time Customer Service Agent with Base Operations at Page Field will work approximately 28 hours per week and be trained to perform a variety of customer-oriented tasks coordinating services for private and business aircraft at Page Field. This position receives direction from the Shift Lead, Customer and/or Line Service Supervisor, General Manager at Base Operations or other supervisory personnel at the Lee County Port Authority. </p> <p>The ideal candidate should enjoy interacting with the public on a one-on-one basis, will have an attitude of service towards others, and put safety as a priority. This role requires the individual to focus on learning and performing specific technical hands-on skills while providing superior customer service. </p> <p>The anticipated hourly starting rate for the ideal candidate is between $18.22 and $19.31. </p> <p>Key Responsibilities </p> <ul> <li>Communicate effectively with flight crew, aircraft owners and passengers in the delivery of service requests. </li><li>Process sales transactions for the purchase of fuel and ancillary aircraft services, including ramp and hangar parking, ground power, lavatory and water service, catering and gift shop purchases </li><li>Prearrange customer service requests for aircraft arrival and departure, hotel and rental car reservations, catering and miscellaneous transportation needs </li><li>Coordinate the safe and expeditious transfer of customers and baggage through the terminal facility </li><li>Interact with customers on a one-on-one basis, while conducting frequent reviews of terminal amenities and facilities </li><li>Communicate with aircraft inflight via aviation band radio to coordinate arrival times and service needs </li><li>Perform shift closeouts and balances, complete fuel reports and concierge request scheduling </li><li>If requested, assist line service staff by wing walking aircraft during reposition activities, delivering catering to aircraft, and assisting with passenger luggage and rental cars </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. </li><li>A minimum of one year work experience in related aviation or customer service experience preferred. Any combination of education and experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform duties effectively, may be substituted </li><li>Possession of valid Florida driver's license is required </li><li>Must possess excellent customer service skills and have the ability to effectively communicate with others at all times </li><li>Position requires individual to work varying shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays and "on-call" scheduling, as necessary. Schedule restrictions may apply during seasonal timeframes </li><li>Completion of NATA Safety 1st Customer Service online training modules within 90 days of hire </li><li>Must know airport layout & technical details within 120 days of hire </li><li>Must complete Avfuel Customer Service Training program within 10 months of hire </li></ul> <p>Please review full job description here</p>
