We welcome all that share those values to apply.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assists with leading and instructing a variety of activities such as swimming, games and sports </li><li>Inspects program facility and equipment to ensure a safe and clean environment for patrons </li><li>Communicates with citizens and responds to their inquiries and concerns </li><li>Ensures safety practices. Administers First Aid and performs CPR if necessary </li><li>Greets and interacts with parents and guests </li><li>Shops for and purchases supplies, refreshments and equipment for birthday parties </li><li>Sets up birthday party room prior to parties. Ensures directional signs are posted so guests can find the room </li><li>Cleans room after birthday party </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.</p> <p>Education: High School Diploma or GED</p> <p>Experience: Experience in customer service preferred</p> <p>Licenses and/or Certifications Required: CPR and First Aid Certifications are required (which can be obtained at the Recreation Center) or ability to attain within 30 days of hire. A valid Colorado driver's license is required.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Skill in administering First Aid and CPR </li><li>Ability to physically access stores and to shop for supplies and refreshments </li><li>Skill in caring for children and responding to their needs </li><li>Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions in accordance with established Town policies and procedures </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and coworkers </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Occasional lifting, carrying, walking and standing </li><li>Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stop, kneel, crouch or crawl </li><li>Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate personal computer and office equipment </li><li>Vision for reading, recording and interpreting information </li><li>Speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Works primarily in a clean, comfortable environment </li></ul> <p>Equipment Used:</p> <ul> <li>This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the course of their employment. </li></ul> <p>This posting is subject to close at any point in time once a qualified pool of applicants has been obtained.</p> <p>Must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check and motor vehicle record check prior to commencing employment.</p> <p>The Town of Castle Rock is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p>
