<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Overview:</p> <p>Suffield Public Schools is seeking a visionary and dynamic educational leader to serve as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. The successful candidate will be an instructional leader who inspires educators, engages stakeholders, and drives innovation across our PreK-12 schools.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Connecticut 092 or 093 Certification required </li><li>Minimum of three years of experience in building-based instructional leadership or district-level leadership </li><li>Proven expertise in curriculum development, alignment, and assessment practices </li><li>Strong knowledge of current research and best practices in teaching and learning </li><li>Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and collaborative leadership skills </li></ul> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide strategic leadership in the design, implementation, and evaluation of rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum and instructional initiatives across all grade levels </li><li>Use data-driven insights to monitor student performance, assess instructional effectiveness, and guide continuous improvement efforts </li><li>Design and oversee impactful professional learning opportunities that build instructional capacity across the district </li><li>Partner with school administrators, instructional coaches, and teachers to promote high-quality, equitable instruction and curriculum fidelity </li><li>Serve as a key member of the district's leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and organizational excellence </li></ul> <p>Salary Range: $165,000 - $190,000</p> <p>Application Instructions:</p> <p>Interested candidates should apply online and include:</p> <ul> <li>Cover letter </li><li>Current resume </li><li>Three letters of reference </li></ul>
