<p>Technical Trades Worker--Facilities</p> <p>One full-time Technical Trades Worker to work 8hrs per day, Monday through Friday on a 261 day calendar. Responsible for performing skilled technical tasks in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronics, audio-visual equipment, plumbing, electrical services, carpentry, roofing, HVAC equipment and control systems, and landscaping.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Any combination of training and experience equivalent to the 12th grade </li><li>Two years technical training in the field of HVAC or five years equivalent experience in the technical trade </li><li>Possession of a valid Ohio Driver's License and a good driving record. </li></ul> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Investigates, identifies malfunctions, makes corrective repairs of facility mechanical systems and properties including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, buildings, roofs, audio-visual equipment, electronic equipment, and landscaping </li><li>Performs preventative maintenance </li><li>Answers emergency calls to schools and other facilities used by Worthington Schools </li><li>Installs, repairs, and replaces all fluorescent, industrial and general lighting fixtures, bulbs and ballasts </li><li>Installs new conduit and panels to supply new or additional electrical service </li><li>Installs, adjusts, and repairs fire alarm system devices, programs clock and bell systems, transformers, scoreboards (basketball and football), and HVAC systems </li><li>Installs and repairs exhaust fans, motors, pumps and electrical appliances </li><li>Troubleshoots, repairs, replaces, and/or maintains all types of plumbing fixtures and related equipment </li><li>Troubleshoots, repairs, replaces, and/or maintains all types of environmental control devices (heating and cooling) </li><li>Reads blueprints and schematic diagrams to locate various installations </li><li>Instructs apprentices and/or other maintenance workers on work assignments and equipment operation </li><li>Changes programs and scheduling in room point settings in the ALC program </li><li>Verifies completion of work assignments </li><li>Maintains appropriate written records of work assignments </li><li>Installs, maintains and repairs irrigation systems and devices </li><li>Operates a motor vehicle to reach various work sites </li><li>Maintains all safety certifications as required </li></ul> <p>Job Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Thorough knowledge of the standard practices, methods, tools, and equipment in carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs and installation, heating and cooling repair, or cement work </li><li>Skill in the use of tools, materials, and equipment used in the building trades </li><li>Ability to make estimates of time and material </li><li>Ability to understand and work from drawings, blueprints, schematic diagrams, and specifications </li><li>Ability to use a computer </li><li>Ability to maintain insurability through district fleet policy </li><li>Ability to use technology to complete daily and assigned tasks appropriate for the position </li><li>Ability to maneuver heavy weights and climb ladders and to perform heavy physical labor (for example: bend, twist, lift arms above head, etc.) </li><li>Ability to follow oral and written instructions </li><li>Ability to maintain records and prepare reports </li><li>Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others </li><li>Salary Range $26.86/hr to $34.28/hr* </li><li>Position is benefit eligible (Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, Life Insurance, Disability and various other supplemental insurances)* </li></ul>
