<p>Join us for a hands-on, part-time spring internship experience at our Berthoud, CO location!</p> <p>Ursa Major's Spring 2026 Internship offers students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the aerospace and defense industry while contributing to meaningful, high-impact projects that support our mission and drive innovation in propulsion and advanced manufacturing.</p> <p>As an intern on a small, fast-moving team, you will be challenged with supporting the dynamic environment of spacecraft propulsion design, development, manufacturing, test, and production. You will receive hands-on experience while helping solve difficult engineering problems. We thrive on giving ownership and authority, so you can expect to make decisions and make a difference!</p> <p>This internship will be on the In-Space Propulsion team.</p> <p>This position will be part-time hybrid position, availability to be on-site in Berthoud is preferred.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>· Support the In-Space Propulsion Engineering team with design, CAD, drawings and procurement of flight hardware and associated tooling </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Background in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering </li><li>Must be an academic Junior or above by January 2026 (experience with fluids, mechanics of materials, rocket propulsion, and other advanced classes) </li><li>Experience with CAD software is required </li><li>Strong use of first principle analysis with mechanical, thermal, and/or fluid-based scenarios </li><li>Demonstrated teamwork and ability to communicate effectively in a group setting </li><li>Drive to continuously improve technical and team skills </li><li>Experience with CAD software is preferred </li><li>A passion for space and spacecraft propulsion </li></ul> <p>Program Details:</p> <ul> <li>Location: On-site at our Berthoud, CO facility </li><li>Duration: Approximately 10-12 weeks </li><li>Schedule: Part-time, Hybrid </li><li>This is a paid internship </li></ul> <p>Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $29.00/hour, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
