The home is owned and funded by the Georgia Department of Veterans Service and operated through an interagency agreement with Augusta University. Through this association, Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home is considered a leader in the area of geriatric educational training for Augusta University.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Prepares, processes, and maintains a variety of patients, unit and nursing home records to reflect admissions, treatments, transfers, discharges, patient census, and related data.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>The duties include, but are not limited to:</p> <p>RECORDS: Prepares, process, and maintains a variety of patients, unit and nursing home records to reflect admissions, treatments, transfers, discharges, patient census, and related data.</p> <p>SUPPLIES AND MAIL: Orders Office Assistant supplies and personal items for patients. Receives and distributes mail, flowers, and personal items delivered to the unit for patients.</p> <p>PHYSICIAN PRESCRIPTIONS: Prepare requisitions/forms for diets, consultations, and laboratory tests as prescribed.</p> <p>CHARTING: Maintains patient charts, transcribes physician's orders, vital signs, weights, and other information to charts and computer. Informs nurses of changes in physician orders and follow up on noted charted orders.</p> <p>PHONE AND APPOINTMENTS: Answers patients call and relay to appropriate staff. Answer telephone and deliver messages.
