<p>REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>The ITS Epic Analyst - Rev Cycle/HIM/Access Reports directly to the</p> <p>Lead/Supervisor/Manager/Director and has no direct reports.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>Participates in planning, design, development, training, implementation, communication,</p> <p>maintenance/support, and evaluation of existing or new functionality related to assigned</p> <p>applications.</p> <p>Analyst II - Contributes to and participates in the selection/design, implementation, maintenance,</p> <p>and support of their assigned software applications using information technology, equipment, and</p> <p>processes used by ProMedica employees and customers. Serves as mentor for less experienced IT</p> <p>staff, helping and guidance when required.</p> <p>ACCOUNTABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>All duties listed below are essential unless noted otherwise* </li></ul> <ol> <li>Planning/Design: </li></ol> <p>a. Participates with technical teams and vendors for the design of application</p> <p>infrastructure, hardware, storage, network requirements, security, integrations,</p> <p>viewing and workflow.</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Development/Build: </li></ol> <p>a. Plans implementations and upgrades clinical systems.</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Testing: </li></ol> <p>a. Ensures adequate testing, quality assurance and documentation of changes.</p> <p>b. Ensure test scripts have been created, reviewed, updated to reflect proposed</p> <p>workflow solutions.</p> <ol start="4"> <li>Training/Certifications: </li></ol> <p>a. Transfers knowledge and/or trains IT employees and advises end-users in the</p> <p>operation of their information systems. Maintains complete and current</p> <p>documentation for responsible systems and IT processes.</p> <p>b. Support the training team by keeping trainers informed of new functionality and</p> <p>system changes.</p> <p>c. Maintains required certifications.</p> <ol start="5"> <li>Implementation: </li></ol> <p>a. Responsible for the activities like analysis and development, implementation,</p> <p>modification, and installation of low complexity systems in different operational</p> <p>environments.</p> <p>b. Implement changes using documented procedures.</p> <ol start="6"> <li>Communication: </li></ol> <p>a. Create and follow project plans.</p> <p>b. Participate in team and cross-team meetings and maintain appropriate meeting</p> <p>records.</p> <p>c. Communicates with customers, administration, and team members about</p> <p>information technology and services.</p> <p>d. Understand customer feedback and support data to optimize and resolve issues.</p> <p>e. Attends regular customer and team department meetings as scheduled.</p> <ol start="7"> <li>Maintenance/Support: </li></ol> <p>a. Monitors system performance and quality.</p> <p>b. Plans for decommission of responsible applications when indicated.</p> <p>c. Ensure solutions are cost effective, audit and security compliant. Versions are no less</p> <p>than -2 from current.</p> <p>d. Support 24/7 on call on rotational basis.</p> <p>e. Some travel may be required.</p> <ol start="8"> <li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ol> <p>Job Requirements</p> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience.</p> <p>Skills: Progressive knowledge of assigned clinical software applications and healthcare operations.</p> <p>Requires strong self-motivation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.</p> <p>Years of Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience.</p> <p>License: N/A</p> <p>Certification: Analysts supporting Epic will have or obtain Epic Certification in their primary</p> <p>application within three months of completing the first Epic class. Obtaining and maintenance of</p> <p>Epic Certification in the primary application is a mandatory job requirement. Obtaining and</p> <p>maintenance of a secondary or supporting Epic Certification will be at the discretion of leadership.</p> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education: Bachelor's degree or 3 years' experience in Information Technology.</p> <p>Skills: IT background, effective oral, written communication, and follow-up skills. Strong</p> <p>interpersonal relationship skills. Task management and problem-solving skills expected. Project</p> <p>management and leadership experience desired. Strong desktop tool usage including Word, Excel,</p> <p>and PowerPoint. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, problem solver.
