Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.</p> <p>This role in summary</p> <p>Subject Matter Expert Machine Controls</p> <p>Your responsibilities will include</p> <ul> <li>Program Allen-Bradley PLC and develop HMI </li><li>Improve efficiency through programming logic and electrical improvements </li><li>Support maintenance department in troubleshooting critical issues </li><li>Monitor and respond to daily production needs and issues related to machine control systems and automated equipment. </li><li>Support production day to day to achieve plant metrics in safety, quality, cost, and delivery </li><li>Design of control cabinet wiring layout and components for industrial machinery by AutoCAD698 </li><li>Interact with skilled personnel and others in support of the daily production demands </li><li>Create purchase orders for components and schedule/track/audit work. </li></ul> <p>Minimum requirements</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience working directly with machine controls </li><li>Associate Degree in Electrical and/or Journeyman's card </li></ul> <p>Preferred skills and experiences</p> <ul> <li>Experience with PLC logic, specifically using Allen-Bradley Rockwell software (e.g., Studio 5000, RSLogix). </li><li>Industrial Maintenance background (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical) </li><li>Experience with metal stamping press control systems </li><li>Knowledge of Robotic programming (Fanuc, UR, Yaskawa) </li><li>Networking experience (Stratix, Cisco, Wireless Access Points, Web Server, SQL server) </li></ul> <p>Additional information</p> <p>Whirlpool's Ways of Working</p> <p>Our goal is to provide an environment that helps you bring your best to Whirlpool every day.
