Metrea also consists of six support groups (Operations, People, Finance, Legal, Strategy and Solutions) that guide the development of specific capabilities that Metrea's files (product, projects, programs etc.) leverage to achieve their targets.</p> <p>Group Overview</p> <p>Aerospace Engineering Group (AERO) is responsible for developing and delivering Metrea's aviation engineering and integration capabilities, focusing on aircraft modification, system integration, and technical project management. AERO takes mission requirements and transforms them into operational assets by designing, engineering, and integrating new systems and technologies. The group manages aviation project lifecycles, from concept to testing, ensuring aircraft modifications meet performance, safety, and airworthiness standards. With a unified structure, AERO leverages its engineering expertise and project management capabilities to enhance Metrea's aviation fleet, supporting a range of specialized operations through innovation and technical excellence.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>This role is responsible for leading avionics installations, troubleshooting of avionics systems, and repair work scopes within the Avionics Department. An Avionics Lead 4 will have a mastery of required avionics systems knowledge, including electronic instruments, communications, navigation, and autopilot systems. The Avionics Lead 4 will ensure avionics systems are installed, maintained, and operated according to regulations and industry standards to maintain continuous state of airworthiness. The ideal Avionics Lead 4 will have an A&P License and experience on Metrea aircraft types.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of applicable maintenance manuals and procedures relevant to their assigned fleet. The Avionics Lead 4 is expected to work unsupervised as an expert in Avionics and can independently lead a team of mechanics on a special project or aircraft.</p> <p>Role and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability and willingness to mentor junior avionics personnel when working together on tasks. </li><li>Lead avionics personnel on special projects or tasks while maintaining the highest level of quality and workmanship in accordance with (IAW) published authority, ensuring compliance with FAA requirements. </li><li>Mastery of the skills required to troubleshoot, repair, modify, install, and update avionics systems without direct supervision. </li><li>Extensive experience with integration of new avionics systems or other electronic systems within an airframe, by building wire harnesses, proper pinning, crimping, routing, terminating and functional checking aircraft avionic systems after modifications. </li><li>Working knowledge and experience with the STC approval process, conformity of parts, first article inspections, document control and red lining procedures. This would include experience working with Engineering, ODA's, DER's, DAR's and Quality Control to ensure the success of a project. </li><li>Coordinate with the inspection department to complete proper paperwork required for each installation and/or repair. </li><li>Assist and coordinate with other departments to progress with avionics installations and/or repairs of assigned projects. </li><li>Maintain enforcement of company and departmental policies and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>10+ years of Aircraft Structures Experience and advanced knowledge of Aircraft Systems </li><li>Preferred Certifications and Licenses: A&P Certificate </li><li>Computer Skills: Basic Computer Skills </li></ul> <p>Additional Eligibility Qualifications</p> <p>Proficient in Maintenance Technical Publications, Structural Inspection and Repair Manual, AMOS, and Veryon / FlightDocs for aircraft maintenance tracking, documentation, and compliance.</p> <p>Our Firmware</p> <p>Metrea's single core value, "rooted in humility," is supported by four key attributes: entrepreneurial, systematic, discerning, and over-deliver. The role may require standing, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Technicians must adhere to strict safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
