<p>Company Overview</p> <p>Metrea is a defense company dedicated to translating commercial innovation into solutions for the hardest problems in national security. Metrea also consists of six support groups (Operations, People, Finance, Legal, Strategy and Solutions) that guide the development of specific capabilities that Metrea's files (product, projects, programs etc.) leverage to achieve their targets.</p> <p>Group Overview</p> <p>Special Air Missions Group (SAM) is responsible for developing and delivering Metrea's Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Special Mobility, and Aerial Firefighting (AFF) capabilities. SAM oversees the integration of new mission systems, ensuring operational readiness across specialized aviation operations. It manages fleet maintenance, regulatory compliance, and strategic partnerships to enhance mission effectiveness. By consolidating expertise and infrastructure, SAM ensures Metrea's airborne capabilities remain adaptable and mission-ready across dynamic operational environments.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Mission Systems Technician is responsible for deploying, sustaining, troubleshooting, and repairing standard voice, data, and video network infrastructure systems, IP-based devices and cryptographic equipment.</p> <p>Position contingent upon contract award</p> <p>Role and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Creates and maintains library of documentation for all equipment, processes, and procedures including detailed build procedure documents. </li><li>Checks equipment for serviceability and performs preventive maintenance. </li><li>Coordinates with internal and external agencies, and other service providers to analyze and isolate performance faults and implement corrective actions. </li><li>Isolates malfunctions using diagnostic software, technical data, block diagrams, and other tests requiring specialized test equipment. </li><li>Removing, repairing, and replacing assemblies and subassemblies to optimally sustain voice, data, and video networks. </li><li>Communicates and coordinates scheduled maintenance, backups, and downtime to users. </li><li>Participates in regular disaster recovery exercises. </li><li>Performs end user troubleshooting to isolate, diagnose, and resolve common problems with hosted solutions. </li><li>Handles and safeguards Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment and material. </li><li>Fabricate, terminate, and interconnect wiring and associated network infrastructure devices. </li><li>Troubleshoot network issues involving VLANs and simple routing configurations. </li><li>Build a system from scratch when all required software and hardware are available. </li><li>Completes all administratively required forms and documents on schedule. </li><li>Understands Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs). </li><li>Understands Variable Length Subnet Masking. </li><li>Must have a clear understanding of the OSI Model with regards to troubleshooting systems and networks. </li><li>Must have a basic understanding of electrical principles and radio frequencies Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment, identify issues, analyze and interpret data, and develop innovative solutions to a variety of complex matters. </li><li>Must have the ability to effectively and efficiently initiate, plan, and manage projects as well as ensure that critical tasks are completed timely and thoroughly. </li><li>Demonstrates strong written and verbal communications skills. </li><li>Must possess the ability to work independently or in a team environment. </li><li>Must possess the ability to maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Experience</p> <p>Required Education, Experience and Certificates</p> <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor's degree in Management, Aviation, Engineering, or 8+ years of related work experience. </li><li>Experience: 10+ years of aviation management experience. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education, Experience, and Certificates</p> <ul> <li>Education: Master's degree in Management, Aviation, Engineering or 12+ years of related work experience. </li><li>Experience: </li><li>4+ years of prior overseas rotation experience. </li></ul> <p>Additional Eligibility Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little or no assistance. </li><li>Must have good command of the English language; oral and written. </li></ul> <p>Our Firmware</p> <p>Metrea's single core value, "rooted in humility," is supported by four key attributes: entrepreneurial, systematic, discerning, and over-deliver. Hours and work shifts may vary in accordance with business needs. You will be scheduled to forward deploy/work approximately 90 days OCONUS followed by rotation off-site for approximately 90 days. Rotation schedule might be adjusted in order to meet program requirements.</p> <p>Position contingent upon contract award</p> <p>Work Location</p> <p>Various Locations - OCONUS</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>During deployment, employees will be living under field conditions and must be able to work with little supervision in austere or arduous environments. Work environment varies widely based on geographic location of contract operations.</p> <p>Travel</p> <p>Travel requirements are 50% - OCONUS</p>
