<p>Summary:</p> <p>The Production Planner/Scheduler is responsible for planning and managing the flow of product through order fulfilment process to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company's productive capacity.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate and optimize the order fulfilment process using MRP system, including scheduling the Inspection and Assembly processes from first inspection to final packaging to ensure on-time delivery for our customer orders. </li><li>Assist with planning other manufacturing processes including parts to be machined. </li><li>Work closely with all operations personnel to ensure schedules achievable and make scheduling changes across departments where required. </li><li>Ensure routing times are accurate in the ERP system with most up-to-date times to be able to depend on the system's planning capabilities. </li><li>Analyze sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements. </li><li>Maintains and updates shortage and backlog reports and other production related reports as required. </li><li>Works with all other departments, including quality and sales, to provide scheduling and delivery information to ensure they can meet their process commitments. </li><li>Interacts with the sales department to communicate changes in anticipated delivery dates. </li><li>Interacts with manufacturing personnel and management as needed on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information requested from manufacturing, customer service or accounting. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree preferred </li><li>At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing planner scheduler role </li><li>Technical experience with ERP systems and Microsoft office products, especially Excel </li><li>Strong problem-solving and organizational skills </li><li>Solid oral and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to gather and analyze information, develops solutions, and use logic and reason </li><li>Strong technical capacity including understanding of MRP, inventory levels, planning and scheduling. </li><li>Cost Consciousness - ability to work within an approved budget, develop and implement cost saving measures </li><li>Ability to read and interpret written information </li><li>Ability to understand a sense of urgency and shift gears when necessary to accommodate for changes in scheduling for expedited orders </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Work environment is primarily in the office </li><li>Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time </li><li>Ability to wear PPE </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary based on experience </li><li>Comprehensive medical and dental plan </li><li>Company-paid STD and life insurance </li><li>Generous PTO plan </li></ul>
