<p>Summary</p> <p>The Program Manager develops and implements strategies for resident stability and community building at the Simpson Community Apartments, a partnership between Simpson Housing Services and Project for Pride in Living (PPL) Management Company. This project provides 42 formerly homeless adults with a safe and permanent home and supportive services to help residents regain and maintain stability in their lives, homes and the community. The Program Manager also has a portfolio of several other properties in Hennepin County, currently part of the Women's Housing Partnership program.</p> <p>This position provides leadership and supervision to a team dedicated to providing case management services to residents and will manage the daily affairs and overall program operation serving low-income individuals. This position will supervise 3 or more staff providing services to Simpson Community Apartments and scattered site housing.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Provide effective leadership of Simpson Community Apartments and scattered-site programs:</p> <ul> <li>Provide stability and clear vision to residents and staff. </li><li>Work in partnership with Project for Pride in Living (PPL), Property Management and owners </li><li>Assure open communication among staff on all participant issues. </li><li>Maintain resident capacity in programs </li><li>Ensure participants receive consistent, high-quality connections related to their goals by regularly reviewing case notes and following up with staff in a timely manner. Participate in meetings of regulatory personnel as they survey facilities and participants records for program compliance. </li><li>Assure safety and security of participants and staff, and manage emergency situations </li><li>Develop procedures and program guidelines in consultation with Director of Single Adult Programs </li></ul> <p>Develop, Supervise and Train Staff:</p> <ul> <li>Know SHS' personnel practices and effectively implement policies with all direct reports. </li><li>Hire and train staff in consultation with the Director of Single Adult Programs and Director of Equity and Human Resources. </li><li>Provide staff training, team building and development of individual staff goals. </li><li>Monitor staff performance including performance reviews and assessments. </li><li>Effectively delegate assignments and projects to staff. </li><li>Provide guidance and supervision to direct reports. </li><li>Function as a member of a supervisory team which has responsibility for the following areas: policy and procedure implementation and design, budget monitoring, employee/human resources functions and handling difficult participant issues. </li></ul> <p>Develop thorough and accurate budgets and reports, maintain complete and consistent records:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of participant records. </li><li>Manage program budget (including corrective action plans when needed) </li><li>Maintain accurate records, including employee time sheets, travel expenses and billing information. </li><li>Manage Housing Support revenue and expenses of participants. </li><li>Work closely with the Operations Support Team on Housing Support administration </li></ul> <p>Provide positive representation of SHS through public relations and networking:</p> <ul> <li>Interpret the program to constituents regarding SHS and its programs. </li><li>Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all partners </li><li>Assist with fund development as directed. </li><li>Participate in staff meetings and professional meetings </li></ul> <p>Commitment to racial equity and social justice:</p> <ul> <li>Work within and across agency departments to build culture of equity and antiracism. </li><li>Evolve knowledge and strategy of equity and antiracism on an individual and team level. </li><li>Participate in meetings, training, and workshops hosted by SHS about diversity, equity, inclusion, antiracism, and other related topics. </li></ul> <p>Demonstrate essential knowledge, abilities, and skills:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to build, lead, and evaluate effective program teams. </li><li>Ability to be decisive and effective under pressure and maintain composure in crisis situations. </li><li>Ability to work very well independently, with excellent skills in teamwork and collaboration. </li><li>Knowledge of Harm Reduction/Housing First Model, trauma-informed care. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively, positively, and professionally with participants, providers, family members and others. </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and represent agency decisions constructively </li><li>Have organizational skills and be able to multi-task in order to accomplish the day-to-day activities. </li><li>Possess computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Demonstrate ability to learn additional computer skills/program as necessary </li><li>Adhere to a standard framework of boundaries in all interactions with guests, volunteers, staff and public. </li><li>Perform other tasks, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned or directed. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in the field of Social Work, Human Services or Community Development is required or four years related experience working with: individuals experiencing mental health issues; chemical health issues; ethnically diverse populations; people experiencing or significantly impacted by poverty, people experiencing homelessness. </li><li>At lease 2 year's experience in management and supervision </li><li>Must be able to produce letters and reports of professional quality. </li><li>Driver's license and vehicle are required. </li></ul> <p>Desired:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Housing Support </li></ul>
