Join us at Andersen, and together, let's write the story of your success!</p> <p>The Role</p> <p>Senior Managers on the Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credit team work across a wide range of clients and industries. This role requires strong technical knowledge and project management skills to lead R&D Tax Credit and Sec. 174/Sec. 174A engagements of varying levels of complexity. Senior Managers serve as trusted business advisors to our clients and internal teams. They also help drive practice growth through business development, training and mentoring junior team members, engagement economics, and thought leadership.</p> <p>Senior Managers can expect to:</p> <ul> <li>Manage the day-to-day responsibilities on R&D Tax Credit and Sec. 174/Sec. 174A engagements, including leading technical interviews with subject matter experts, reviewing calculations, and reviewing deliverables. </li><li>Provide technical guidance and training to team members. </li><li>Take ownership of engagement economics, including budgeting, billing, and realization, while ensuring timely and quality delivery across all phases of an engagement. </li><li>Participate in business development activities, including preparing proposals for both prospective and current clients. </li><li>Communicate with clients, manage multiple project deadlines, and remain current on legislative changes. </li><li>Receive formal training, on the job training, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources. </li></ul> <p>The Requirements</p> <ul> <li>7+ years of experience managing R&D Tax Credit and Sec. 174/Sec. 174A analyses and training team members. </li><li>Bachelor's and/or relevant advanced degree (MAcc, MST, JD). </li><li>Accounting, Engineering, or related degree </li><li>Minimum GPA of 3.0 </li><li>Advanced credential allowing for IRS client representation (i.e. CPA, JD). </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Proficient in Excel. Experience with tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or similar software is a plus. </li><li>Working knowledge of accounting methods is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Compensation and Benefits</p> <p>Our firm offers a competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being, growth, and long-term success of our people. We are committed to recognizing individual contributions and providing resources that enable our employees to thrive both personally and professionally.</p> <p>Salary Range: For individuals hired to work in New York City, the expected salary range for this role is $145,000 to $248,200. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and skill set.</p> <p>Benefits: Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage. Employees may enroll in the firm's 401(k) plan upon hire. We offer 200 hours of paid time off annually, along with twelve paid holidays each calendar year.
