The function of this position is to preserve assets so that they can safely and economically continue to provide benefit to the organization. The maintenance supervisor's duty is to work efficiently to reduce and eliminate the need for maintenance. The maintenance supervisor will work continuously to improve maintenance service and assist in the continuous improvement of all processes within the organization</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Safety & Environmental Performance</p> <ul> <li>Lead the safety effort by personal example. </li><li>Support full plant wide compliance with safety rules to further our goal of 0 accidents and encouragement of reporting and correcting near misses. </li><li>Support 0 contractor accidents during major construction or anytime maintenance contractors are on site. </li><li>Identify high-risk safety/ productivity issues and help remedy them. </li><li>Adhere to SOPs and other work procedures as required to assure product quality and consistency to our customers. </li></ul> <p>Work Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Participate in projects development and project meetings. </li><li>Substitute for the Maintenance Manager in his absence at meetings regarding processing and control issues. </li><li>Specify new technologies and run trials to prove effectiveness. </li><li>Assist in the planning and direction of strategic improvements to keep plant process controls up to date using current best practice and latest technologies. </li><li>Work closely with vendors to specify, select and supervise inventory levels and organization. </li><li>Responsible for the scheduling of maintenance personnel </li><li>Responsible for the assigning of maintenance work. </li><li>Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, wiring and field devices. </li><li>Program PLC logic for process changes and improvements. </li><li>Install, maintain and troubleshoot single and three phase industrial motors, VFDs, electrical distribution and protection circuits up to 480VAC. </li><li>Install, maintain and troubleshoot packaging equipment </li><li>Install, maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems. </li><li>Install, maintain and troubleshoot steam and condensate systems </li><li>Install, maintain and troubleshoot pumps and piping systems. </li><li>Maintain, operate and troubleshoot refrigeration systems </li><li>Ability to read and interpret P&Ids, ladder logic and electrical schematics. </li><li>Maintain Facilities; lighting, windows, doors, roofs, etc… </li><li>Execute work in a safe and expedient manner according to the following priorities: </li></ul> <p>o Emergency corrective maintenance daily and call-ins</p> <p>o Execution of capital and maintenance projects.</p> <p>o Perform and develop preventive/ predictive maintenance programs</p> <p>o Perform routine corrective maintenance</p> <ul> <li>Provide practical solutions to operations/ controls problems. </li><li>Scope, estimate and execute small capital / maintenance projects along with maintenance manager/ project director/ operations, etc. </li><li>Provide training to other employees based on company needs. </li><li>Oversee the work by contractors as required on site to assure safety, quality, efficiency and performance. </li><li>Seek out opportunities to help work get done safer, faster and more cost effective. </li><li>Participate in company activities such as;
