Beam is a values-driven organization committed to its people, cutting-edge science, and a vision of providing life-long cures to patients suffering from serious diseases.</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>Beam is looking for a highly motivated, strategic and driven commercial leader to join our growing Product & Portfolio Strategy team. The Senior Director, BEAM-101 Brand Strategy Lead will drive brand strategy development, commercial launch readiness and execution for Beam's lead asset, BEAM-101, an ex vivo autologous hematopoietic stem cell-based gene therapy for the treatment of severe sickle cell disease (SCD). This is a high impact role for Beam's potential first product commercialization. The successful candidate plays a critical role in building the marketing and field teams and in establishing commercial operations readiness for the company.</p> <p>The Senior Director, BEAM-101 Brand Strategy Lead, reports into the VP, Product & Portfolio Strategy, Hematology, and the latter is also the cross-functional launch lead for BEAM-101.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develops and leads brand strategy for BEAM-101 and ensures alignment across key cross-functional stakeholders including Medical, Market Access, and Technical Operations. </li><li>Owns development of brand positioning, messaging, and competitive strategy. </li><li>Leads commercial launch readiness and execution in close collaboration with cross-functional partners. </li><li>Directs HCP marketing strategy and oversees tactical execution by agency partners and future HCP marketers. </li><li>Builds and leads team of marketing professionals. </li><li>Oversees generation of customer and market insights through primary and secondary research, competitive intelligence and Advisory Boards. </li><li>Leads scenario planning, risk management, and contingency strategies for launch, including forecasting and supply chain coordination. </li><li>Budget management. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>BS/BA in a relevant academic field; MBA, MD, PhD, or other graduate degree strongly preferred. </li><li>Minimum 12 years business experience within the pharma/biotech/biopharma space. </li><li>Proven track record of developing and executing brand strategies in highly cross-functional environments. </li><li>Experience in cell therapy is a must. </li><li>U.S. launch experience is a must. </li><li>Outstanding strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities. </li><li>Must be capable of managing and prioritizing multiple activities. </li><li>Can operate in two worlds - big picture orientation with attention to detail. </li><li>Exceptional interpersonal skills and collaborative nature with strong ability to influence, motivate, inspire, encourage and develop others. </li><li>Demonstrated people management experience and development capabilities required. </li><li>Builds effective teams that work well across functions and groups. </li><li>Strong business and financial capabilities. </li><li>Advanced communication and presentation skills required. </li><li>Experience in both large and small company environments a plus. </li><li>Role is based in Cambridge, MA, or hybrid. </li><li>Ability to travel 25% as needed. </li></ul>
