<p>The Department of Cell Biology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine invites applicants for a faculty position at the Instructor level outside of the tenure track. The candidate will work in the Biomedical Masters Program (BMP) as Instructor and Executive Administrator. The successful candidate will be an inspiring leader who provides strategic direction for BMP courses, admissions, and administration. They will lead and provide data analytics for quality applicant recruitment and admissions. They will lead the admissions proceedings and as a faculty advisor provide tailored academic advising and contribute to the writing of BMP committee letters of recommendation for BMP students applying to professional health degree programs. They will create and deliver course content as Director and Co-Director in two required BMP courses, Experiential Learning, and Professional Communications and Reflection, respectively. The Instructor and Executive Administrator will also lead and provide quality improvement to administration both within the BMP and its work with other entities across the University and City of Pittsburgh. The Instructor and Executive Administrator must be a committed advocate for a diverse student body. The position requires patience, flexibility, energy, and a sincere desire to assist students, staff, and faculty. The ideal candidate will role model excellent educator and administrative skills, collaboration, communication, as well as thought leadership to optimize program efficacy and efficiency through quality improvements year over year. A MA in Higher Education and a minimum of five years of experience are required.
