The salary range for this position is $78,337 - $129,256. Colfax Ave., Denver, CO 80202.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>Denver's Department of Public Health and Environment (DDPHE) is dedicated to advancing Denver's environmental and public health goals. DDPHE works collaboratively with city, state and community partners to conduct education, community engagement, and enforcement to promote healthy people, healthy pets, and a sustainable environment. DDPHE oversees a number of services related to public health and the environment and is comprised of seven divisions: Division of Shared Services and Business Operations; Community & Behavioral Health; Public Health Investigations; Denver Animal Protection; the Office of Medical Examiner; Emergency Manage and Medical Operations; and Environmental Quality. This position will be integral to CBH strategic learning and evaluation activities, which support responsive, evidence-based programs. Through collaboration with program staff, partners, community, and fellow evaluation team members, this position will lead evaluation for opioid abatement and related behavioral health programming. This position will develop robust data collection mechanisms that meet the needs of diverse partners, including local organizations and DDPHE, and coordinate across partners and evaluation components to facilitate understanding of processes and impacts at varied program and initiative levels, with an early focus on the efficacy of Opioid Abatement Settlement funding that will be expanded to align with and support additional behavioral health programming. This position will be responsible for identification and analysis of data; providing technical assistance and support to program staff and community partners; and dissemination of knowledge to leadership, program staff, and community. Duties may include, but not be limited to, assessment of needs; development of systems and reporting; data sharing and tracking; grantee engagement; and collaborative evaluation design and data collection and analysis processes. The position will actively assist CBH and partners in working to achieve greater health equity for disproportionally impacted populations.</p> <p>Specifically, as the Senior Evaluator you will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead the design and implementation of strategic learning and evaluation activities that support the development of impactful opioid abatement and other behavioral health initiatives, through collaboration, assessment and synthesis of appropriate evidence, and use of thoughtful planning, methodologies, models, literature, and quality control procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate strategic learning for program staff and advisory board members so evaluation findings and recommendations are used in ongoing program development and continuous improvement</p> </li><li> <p>Provide technical assistance and training to internal and external partners, for instance, through leading group learning processes, facilitating the use of equity and research methods, and other means to evaluate effectiveness and find opportunities for development</p> </li><li> <p>Work in close collaboration with DDPHE staff and varied program and community partners to ensure alignment between program objectives and learning and evaluation activities</p> </li><li> <p>Create detailed reports and presentations outlining programs' progress, effectiveness, and impact and present results and conclusions to governing board, internal and external project partners, and additional interested partners</p> </li><li> <p>Along with all department staff, this position will actively participate on an emergency preparedness and response team to support DDPHE's responsibilities outlined in the City's Emergency Operations Plan. This may require being 'on-call' from time to time to help respond to emergencies.
