The Academic Advisor will collaborate with students to co-create educational plans in ways that are consistent with their aspirations, interests, strengths, and values--preparing them for a life of learning in a diverse and global society. Academic Advisors work with traditional, transfer, undeclared, and pre-professional health students, ensuring they stay on track for graduation through constant engagement and monitoring. The Academic Advisor role is geared toward supporting student success, providing both academic and career advising while maintaining high standards of professionalism and collaboration within their respective college. CBAS has an established Advising Center with high professional standards and a reputation for excellence. The best qualified candidate is student-centered, communicates clearly and effectively, is a team player, advocates for STEM, and is capable of working effectively with staff and faculty to serve the diverse needs of students.</p> <p>Required Education</p> <p>Advisor: Master's degree (earned by start date). A Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of directly relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of Master's degree.</p> <p>Advanced Advisor: Master's degree (earned by start date).</p> <p>Required Related Experience</p> <p>Advisor: No experience required with a Master's degree.</p> <p>Advanced Advisor: Minimum of two years experience in the role of Academic Advisor or other Student Support.
