<p>Description</p> <p>Job Title: Senior Engineer</p> <p>Location: WTC - NYC (Hybrid - 4 Days Onsite)</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer with a strong background in both low-code platforms and traditional server-side development. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong domain knowledge in asset and trade allocation processes, and able to develop scalable, high-performance solutions. This is a hybrid role based out of our World Trade Center office in NYC, requiring 4 days per week onsite and 1 remote day.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Involved in technical design, architecture, and implementation of solutions across platforms including Mendix, Java/Python, and SQL. </li><li>Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust, scalable designs. </li><li>Good understanding of modernization and migration/refactoring of legacy systems to modern architectures and frameworks. </li><li>Ensure optimal use of multi-threading and concurrency techniques to deliver high-performance server-side applications. </li><li>Deliver quality code adhering to best practices & standards </li><li>Design and optimize data models and queries for asset allocation and trade execution workflows. </li><li>Maintain strong alignment with business needs and compliance requirements in a fast-paced financial services environment. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>6+ years of hands-on software development experience. </li><li>Proficiency in: </li><li>No-Code/Low-Code platforms, particularly Mendix. </li><li>Java and/or Python for backend/server-side development. </li><li>SQL and relational database design/performance tuning. </li><li>Experience in implementing solutions using multi-threading and concurrency. </li><li>Strong knowledge of application migration, modernization, and codebase refactoring. </li><li>Deep domain knowledge in asset allocation, trade allocation rules, and execution processes. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience working in agile environments with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps integration. </li><li>Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). </li><li>Familiarity with message queues, event-driven architectures, and microservices. </li></ul>
