<p>CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Sr. Network Automation Engineer. Type: Contract Job Title: Sr. Network Automation Engineer Location: Hybrid (preferred) 1-2 days/week onsite - preferable to candidates within 1 hour of Charlotte, NC or Corning, NY. Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field (minimum required) Travel Requirement: Potential travel of up to 5% (for Corning, NY candidates), domestic only. Expected as 1x per quarter travel onsite to Charlotte, NC location. Overview • Senior-level role focused on designing and scaling enterprise network automation solutions • Heavy emphasis on Arista AVD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines • Cross-functional collaboration with network, DevOps, cloud, and security teams • Opportunity to lead automation strategy and drive operational efficiency Key Responsibilities • Lead network automation across data center, campus, and routing/switching environments • Build and maintain Arista AVD frameworks (Day 0/1/2 operations) • Develop reusable automation artifacts (Ansible roles, templates, pipelines) • Implement Infrastructure as Code for provisioning, configuration, and compliance • Design and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) • Automate testing, validation, and deployment workflows (linting, pre-checks, config diffs) • Integrate automation with ITSM, IPAM, and source-of-truth systems • Enforce Git workflows, version control, and code review standards • Create documentation (runbooks, standards, automation guides) • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and escalation support Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field • 7+ years network engineering (enterprise or service provider) • 5+ years hands-on network automation experience • Strong expertise with Arista AVD in enterprise environments • Advanced skills in Ansible, Python, YAML, JSON • Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines for automation • Strong knowledge of Git workflows and release management • Deep networking expertise (BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, routing & switching) • Experience with APIs (REST, eAPI, gNMI) • Excellent communication and collaboration skills Nice to Have • Integration with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) • Cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure) • Manufacturing or OT network exposure • Experience with testing/linting/validation frameworks Additional Information • No third party resumes will be accepted • Drug testing and/or other employment-related inquiries may be conducted • CTG will consider for employment-qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of all applicable local, state, and federal laws • All interested individuals MUST be able to work on a W2 Tax basis (no C2C or third party vendors) • CTG is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer • CTG is an E-Verify Company To be considered for this opportunity, please apply directly through our website by clicking the link below or email your Word version resume and salary expectations to JoAnn.Abramo@ctg.com.
