They are responsible for the modification of existing fire sprinkler systems and/or the installation of new fire sprinkler systems.</p> <p>Total Compensation Package</p> <p>Salary Range: $39.99 - $54.11/hour</p> <p>Free Recreation Center Pass (Gym & Pool)</p> <p>14 days paid vacation + 10 sick days per year + 12 paid holidays</p> <p>Excellent Medical, dental, & vision insurance(Wellness discount on insurance premiums available)</p> <p>6% employer retirement match</p> <p>40 hour/week set schedule (on call work required approx every seven weeks)</p> <ul> <li> <p>Performs new installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks for commercial-type plumbing services in city-owned or leased facilities</p> </li><li> <p>Install and service a variety of other fire protection equipment such as standpipes, fire pumps, foam systems, clean agent systems, and underground fire supply piping.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct work in a safe manner utilizing all required PPE, complying with safe work policies and practices, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform installation, preventative maintenance, service/repair and trouble-shooting of automatic fire sprinkler systems along with all its related equipment, including all types of fixed fire extinguishing systems (e.g. fire sprinkler, fire suppression), in strict accordance with applicable codes and standards</p> </li><li> <p>Flow testing of fire hydrants</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains all high-pressure, industrial piping and plumbing  equipment, in a manner that protects the safety of the public and employees</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors and inspects facilities, equipment, and high-pressure piping systems to determine compliance with State standards, and need for repair or upgrades</p> </li><li> <p>Analyzes malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments; troubleshoots and diagnoses various types of piping and plumbing systems</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates, monitors and performs installation of materials, fixtures and equipment to piping and plumbing systems </p> </li><li> <p>Responds to piping and plumbing service calls and provides problem resolution</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates and oversees the work performed by piping and plumbing contractors for compliance to standards and work practices</p> </li><li> <p>Installs, tests, and repairs all sizes of backflow prevention devices, back siphonage, or cross connection</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and coordinating inspections with the Building Department to ensure compliance. </p> </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma/GED - required</p> </li><li> <p>Backflow Prevention Certification - required</p> </li><li> <p>State of Colorado Master PipeFitter license - required</p> </li><li> <p>UA STAR Fire Sprinkler Fitting Mastery Exam - required</p> </li><li> <p>CSA Sprinkler Commercial On-site Competent Person Exam (ASCR2) - required</p> </li></ul> <p>Experience </p> <ul> <li> <p>6 years total experience in the commercial plumbing trade, troubleshooting, and/or maintenance and repair (including experience with steel and CPVC pipe), including 4 years for Journeyman license, 1 year for Master license, and 1 additional year of work experience at the Master level</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in testing Backflow prevention devices and in servicing and testing portable fire extinguishers - preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>1 year lead/supervisory experience - required.</p> </li></ul> <p>Years of related experience may be substituted for required education, however education cannot be substituted for the necessary work experience.
