<p>Staffmark is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Coordinator for a direct hire opportunity. This role is essential in creating and maintaining a safe work environment through the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety policies and procedures. This includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, along with other valuable benefit options.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and EHS standards. </li><li>Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance. </li><li>Deliver engaging training sessions on safety protocols, emergency response, and PPE use. </li><li>Investigate accidents and incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, and compliance reporting. </li><li>Collaborate with leadership to foster a strong safety culture across the organization. </li><li>Monitor and stay current on changes to occupational health, environmental regulations, and workers' compensation law. </li><li>Prepare and present safety performance reports for management review. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience as a Safety Coordinator (industrial or manufacturing setting strongly preferred). </li><li>Solid knowledge of OSHA, EPA, workers' compensation law, and EHS best practices. </li><li>CPR certification preferred; additional occupational health certifications a plus. </li><li>Strong report writing and communication skills across all levels of an organization. </li><li>Hands-on experience with root cause analysis and corrective action planning. </li><li>Ability to design and deliver effective safety training materials. </li><li>Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. </li><li>Able to work independently and in a team within a fast-paced environment. </li></ul> <p>Ready to make an impact?
