<p>We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to be responsible for processing invoices for payment and for undertaking the payments of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Responsibilities:</p> </li><li> <p>Receive and accurately process large volumes of invoices for the corporate office and four (4) manufacturing facilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Understand expense accounts and cost centers for accurate coding of invoices.</p> </li><li> <p>Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain vendor relations - respond to inquiries from vendors regarding the status of payments.</p> </li><li> <p>Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.</p> </li><li> <p>Understand compliance issues regarding accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.).</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with various departments to perform accounting audits.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide general office and clerical support to the accounting department and/or other departments when needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Qualifications</p> </li><li> <p>Distinctly self-motivated, and capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven work experience in Accounts Payable.</p> </li><li> <p>Data entry experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Excel spreadsheets experience and proficiency</p> </li><li> <p>Accounts Payable experience helpful, but not required.</p> </li><li> <p>High accuracy and attention to detail.</p> </li><li> <p>Associate degree or Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration preferred.</p> </li></ul>
