<p>Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to support a mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) program. The ASL Interpreter will provide interpretation services and operational support for deaf and hard-of-hearing personnel in a secure environment. This position will be onsite in Quantico, VA!</p> <p>Responsibilities of the ASL Interpreter include:</p> <ul> <li>Provide interpreting services to individuals who are deaf/hard of hearing in an effective and appropriate manner and in the preferred mode established by the individual </li><li>Participate in meetings and conversations to transmit spoken English into American Sign Language (ASL) and/or gestures for communication between deaf and hearing individuals </li><li>Establish and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with peers, customers, leadership, and other community members </li><li>Demonstrate professional judgment and knowledge of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Code of Ethics/Professional Code of Conduct </li><li>Maintain a professional appearance and behavior conducive to a professional setting </li><li>Work typical 30-minute sessions with flexibility for extended durations during key events </li><li>Ensure relevant information is conveyed to relief interpreters prior to ending a session </li></ul> <p>Qualifications for the ASL Interpreter include:</p> <ul> <li>Active DoD TS/SCI clearance (no exceptions; subject to CI polygraph) </li><li>Fluent in Spoken English and American Sign Language </li><li>Prior DoD/USMC experience preferred </li><li>Experience in the Intelligence Community preferred </li></ul> <p>Compensation for the ASL Interpreter includes:</p> <ul> <li>Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 </li><li>Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave, and Paid Holidays </li></ul> <p>This job opens for applications on 8/7/2025.
