<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Position: Assistant Superintendent for Personnel and Instruction</p> <p>District: Oxford Public Schools</p> <p>Start Date: July, 2025</p> <p>Salary Range: Competitive; based on qualifications and experience within a range of $175,000 to $195,000</p> <p>Overview:</p> <p>Oxford Public Schools (PreK - 12; 1,800 students - One K-2 elementary school; one 3-5 elementary school; one 6-8 middle school; one 9-12 high school) is seeking a motivated, innovative, emerging education leader to serve as Assistant Superintendent for Personnel and Instruction.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Connecticut 093 Certification required, earned or in progress </li><li>Three to five years experience in school-based or district-level leadership required </li><li>Special Education background or certification, human resources experience and/or small district experience desirable </li><li>Track record of data-based decision making, program development, planning and implementation </li><li>Knowledge of current research and best practice in specialized learning, school climate and enrichment </li><li>Strong communications, interpersonal and leadership skills required </li><li>Interest in developing skills necessary for succession to Superintendent of Schools in the future </li><li>Doctoral degree preferred but not required </li></ul> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide leadership in the design, development and implementation of a Strategic Operating Plan </li><li>Use data to assess instructional effectiveness and guide continuous improvement across the District </li><li>Partner with teachers, building leaders, and a Director of Curriculum, Assessment and Professional Development to promote high quality instruction and equitable outcomes for all students </li><li>Develop pathways to high school graduation in career/technical and academic areas in a small high school </li><li>Support school administrators, special education supervisors, and a full time athletic director </li><li>Promote Title IX and 504 compliance </li><li>Develop a system of Talent Management for the District's certified staff </li><li>Serve as a key member of the District's Leadership Team in the accomplishment of District goals </li></ul> <p>Application Instructions:</p> <p>Interested candidates should apply electronically to Elizabeth Murphy, Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent,at murphye@oxfordpublicschools.org and include the following:</p> <p>Cover letter</p> <p>Current Resume</p> <p>Three references with contact information or letters of reference</p> <p>Application Deadline: June 15, 2025</p> <p>Potential candidates wishing to discuss this opportunity may contact:</p> <p>Dr. Steven Adamowski, Interim Superintendent</p> <p>adamowskia@oxfordpublicschools.org / 203-888-7754</p>
