<p>Job Description</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>This position is a Full-Time/Day role at Ball Memorial Hospital; this position is eligible for a $7500 sign-on bonus!</p> <p>IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital is a 300 bed, Level 3 Trauma Care Hospital. The rehab department has a team of dedicated professionals including experienced veterans with a willingness to mentor along with newer therapists that bring new ideas and fresh eyes to the department. There is a collaboration within and across disciplines. We experience a high level of respect from the providers and hospital staff who refer a variety of patient types to therapy including orthopedic, neurologic, oncology, and ICU patients. The inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Unit is also staffed by our team.</p> <p>Provides physical therapy services to restore function, reduce pain and prevent disability following disease or injury, and assists patients to reach maximum performance levels.</p> <p>Provides all components of direct patient care including supervision of physical therapist assistants, support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.</p> <ul> <li>Requires graduation from an accredited academic program in physical therapy. </li><li>If foreign trained, graduation from a physical therapy education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA. </li><li>Requires current Physical Therapist license in the State of Indiana. </li><li>Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. </li><li>Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. </li></ul>
