Core responsibilities include selling exhibit space and sponsorships for tradeshows for association events within the government, technology and industry (GTI) sector.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities (in order of importance):</p> <ul> <li>Selling exhibit space by telephone, email communications and in-person meeting when necessary. </li><li>Generating and nurturing new sales leads. </li><li>Weekly and monthly reporting on sales closed, pipeline and salesforce.com activities. </li><li>Maintaining relationships with core exhibitors, via telephone, email, office visits and show site visits. </li><li>Creating bundled sales packages combining exhibit space, sponsorships, and online advertising opportunities. </li><li>Traveling for on-site sales and for prospecting at industry events. </li><li>Maintaining a working knowledge of the industry and competing shows by reading articles in leading journals and websites, as well as conducting research online. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications (computer & communication skills, training, certification, etc.):</p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. </li><li>Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook </li><li>Working knowledge of Salesforce.com HubSpot and a2z knowledge is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Education and/or Experience:</p> <p>2-3 years exhibit, sponsorship and/or advertising sales experience.</p> <p>College degree is a plus.</p> <p>Travel Required: 25%</p> <p>FLSA Status: x Exempt o Non-Exempt</p>
