<p>General Summary:</p> <p>Responsible for the daily operations of the Picture Archiving and Communications Systems and AbbaDox Radiology Information System (PACS and RIS)</p> <p>Reports to the Director of Radiology</p> <p>Principal Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <p>Example of Essential Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for maintaining, managing, and troubleshooting the PACS/ RIS equipment. </li><li>Managing and implementing the storage of all received digital images. </li><li>Developing and planning strategies, and providing technical support. </li><li>Training end users and designing programs to improve management of the system. </li><li>Install, configure and administer the connection of modalities in the existing network. </li><li>Responsible for the administration of user profiles. </li><li>Manage supplier relationships and maintaining technology. </li><li>Collaborate with the IT infrastructure team to communicate storage and computer needs for the PACS/RIS application. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Master the basics of medical technology. </li><li>Knowledge of the HL7 / DICOM standards in theory and practice. </li><li>Basic knowledge of database structures and can create database queries. </li><li>Understanding of diagnostic images and workflows with Electronic Health Record and Radiology Information Systems. </li><li>Basic knowledge of current server operating systems, virtual environments and networks. </li><li>Structured and independent way of working. </li><li>Experience with Imaging Informatics. </li><li>Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame. </li><li>Seeks additional appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed. </li><li>Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles. </li><li>Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures </li></ul>
