Paid Training @ $16.50 hr.</p> <p>Requirements to be a bus driver in the State of Ohio:</p> <ul> <li> <p>At least two years' experience driving a vehicle.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be at least 21 years of age.</p> </li><li> <p>Must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), with a minimum of a Class B CDL, with the required endorsements of passenger, school bus and air brakes.</p> </li><li> <p>Pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing. *(at school district expense)</p> </li><li> <p>Favorable BCI and FBI background checks results.</p> </li><li> <p>Driving record check with no disqualifying offenses such as: oOVI (Operating a vehicle while intoxicated) or DUI (Driving under the influence) within the past 10 years oFRA (Financial Responsibility Act) Suspension in the past 6 years</p> </li><li> <p>Pre-employment and annual physical (Ohio T8 Physical) required. *(at school district expense)</p> </li><li> <p>15 hours of pre-service classroom training for the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW) Certification. *(at school district expense)</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of 12 hours training with a district On Bus Instructor (OBI).
