Our Adult Education Programs provide students with the necessary training and hands on skills needed to be successful in today's in demand occupations. The Director of Adult Education ensures our post-secondary programs reflect the workforce needs across Southwest Ohio and provide students educational opportunities through full time programs, short term credential programs, customized programs for upskilling incumbent workers, and opportunities for apprenticeships. The Director of Adult Education works to ensure programs will be easily accessible to all learners and continuously work to remove barriers students will face when enrolling in post-secondary education.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's or Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Valid State of Ohio Administrative Certification/License Preferred </li><li>Experience in Career/Technical Education and Business/ Industry Preferred </li><li>Strong, positive interpersonal and public relation skills </li><li>Organizational Skills </li><li>Strong Technological Skills </li><li>Valid Driver's License and an acceptable motor vehicle report </li><li>Must pass criminal background check </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to interpret and abide by policies, procedures, regulations and strategic values, compile and prepare required reports, evaluate teaching techniques and methods, evaluate curricula and make appropriate recommendations, supervise and evaluate personnel, communicate effectively, manages discipline, handle student grievances </li><li>Works with the WCCC Secondary Director(s) and institutions of higher education to plan, implement, operate and assess articulation and partnership agreements </li><li>Exchange ideas, information, and opinions with others; arrive at decisions, develop conclusions, or develop solutions </li><li>Communicate effectively with a diverse workforce and student population </li><li>Prioritize and delegate projects; </li><li>Meet timelines and follow-through; </li><li>Present materials effectively to individual students or groups; </li><li>Manage interpersonal conflict situations requiring tact, diplomacy and discretion; </li><li>Demonstrate ethical conduct and professionalism; </li><li>Effectively train, evaluate and develop staff members; </li><li>Handle personnel issues in a highly confidential manner; </li><li>Direct and review all reporting to ODHE, HEI and BOR for all areas of adult education. </li><li>Be a liaison with High School personnel and operations </li><li>Prepare reports as directed by the his/her supervisor or Designee </li><li>Maintain up to date knowledge of technology utilized by the district </li><li>Direct, manage, or lead others; </li><li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, other departments, students, stakeholders, and the public; </li><li>Actively participate in community stakeholder committees/boards, as directed by jis/her supervisor or Designee </li><li>Actively network with area business and industry partners to develop partnerships and opportunities for students and incumbent workers </li><li>Evaluate trends in adult education and makes regular adjustments regarding investment and disinvestment in program services. </li><li>Be responsible for short-term and long-term planning. </li><li>Adjust to change; skill in budget development and management; ability to prepare and analyze financial reports; ability to handle confidential material judiciously; understanding of state economic development tools related to WCCC and training </li><li>Prepares, applies, and manages grants that are applicable to higher education institutions </li><li>Applies for appropriate subsidy funding and prepares required applications, RFP's and documentation for said funding </li><li>Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent. </li></ul> <p>Salary Range: $109822 - $118875</p> <p>Application Deadline: May 27, 2025 or until filled</p> <p>Questions?</p> <p>Kevin Gale, Assistant Superintendent</p> <p>Phone: 513-932-5677 ext. 5238</p> <p>Email: kevin.gale@mywccc.org</p> <p>An Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>The Warren County Vocational School District Board of Education does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex (including sexual orientation and transgender identity), disability, age, religion, military status, ancestry, genetic information (collectively, "Protected Classes"), or any other legally protected category, in its programs and activities, including employment opportunities.</p>
